Meet the Apira Corporate Support Team: Driving Business Success Behind the Scenes

At Apira, our Corporate Support Team plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our business. From marketing and finance to managing bids, tenders, frameworks, and recruitment, our team provides essential support to help Apira thrive. We are a dedicated group of professionals who bring expertise, passion, and commitment to our roles. Let’s meet the team:

David Corbett

Executive Director

David is an outcome-focused Digital Leader, Project Executive, and a graduate of the Cabinet Office Project Leadership Programme. With over 18 years of experience in designing and delivering local and national digital systems for NHS organisations and patients, David has played a significant role in implementing key national programmes such as the Summary Care Record and NHS WiFi. Since joining Apira five years ago, he has led the company’s support across numerous national, regional, and local programmes, including major EPR deployments. Additionally, he oversees Apira’s commercial function, including business development, partnerships, and marketing.

Outside of work, David is a keen runner, enjoys live music, and is a dedicated Sheffield Wednesday fan.

Celia Fleming

Commercial Manager

With over three decades of business experience, Celia has held various roles in account management, business development, bid management, and commercial management. Since joining Apira in 2022, she has leveraged her extensive experience to help the company secure placements on relevant frameworks and win more business. Celia’s expertise is instrumental in Apira’s continued growth and success.

Daniel McAtamney

Financial Controller

Daniel brings over 20 years of accounting and finance experience, primarily within management consultancy. He has a proven track record of supporting small to medium-sized organisations in their growth, and he enjoys working with the people of Apira, whom he believes are key to successful project delivery. Daniel values the welcoming and friendly culture of Apira and takes pride in being an integral part of the business.

Although his main function is financial, Daniel thrives in fast-paced environments and is accustomed to working in small teams. He is a team player who can perform a wide range of tasks in a project management support capacity. His strong IT support background and understanding of IT infrastructure further enhance his contributions to the company. With a keen analytical mindset and problem-solving skills, Daniel plays a crucial role in maintaining Apira’s financial health.

Ami Roberts

Marketing Manager

Ami has over seven years of experience in digital content, social media management, and marketing. She is an expert in creating innovative, engaging, and educational content that supports Apira’s overall marketing strategy. Having previously worked in the parenting and baby market, Ami enjoys developing and executing marketing plans that not only drive business growth but also resonate with our target audience.

Her strengths lie in crafting compelling written content, supported by visually appealing graphics, video content creation, and event management. Outside of work, Ami loves spending time with her family and can often be found performing on stage with her local musical theatre company.

Joe Dawson

Recruitment Lead

Joe has been involved in the digital health industry for eight years and has been at Apira for six months. He has worked across several key customer-facing areas, including recruitment, client management, and business growth. Joe specialises in working with niche professionals in the digital healthcare space and has collaborated with leading public and private healthcare organisations within EPR, EDM, PACS, RIS, AI, LIMS, and many more.

Outside of work, Joe is a keen chef (qualified!) but ultimately decided to leave the kitchen. He has an unwavering passion for Preston North End and enjoys spending time with his family—especially keeping up with a toddler in the ‘terrible twos’ stage.

Henrietta Ojo

Financial Assistant

Henrietta is passionate about accounting and finance, with over 20 years of cross-industry finance experience. She upholds and executes CIPD PACE values (Purposeful-Agile-Collaborative-Expert) in her work. As a skilled and certified accounting and financial professional, Henrietta has extensive knowledge from working with public companies, private businesses, and government agencies. She has deep expertise in management accounts and financial reports, including budgets.

Her experience includes project management of financial software implementations, billing, invoicing, reconciliations, VAT submission, and all aspects of sales and purchase ledgers. Henrietta is excited to contribute positively to Apira’s growth by providing finance support to the business.

We are proud to have such a talented and dedicated team driving the success of Apira. Welcome to the Corporate Support Team—we look forward to working together and achieving great things!
